Roxie Trembath/Sean Grassie (Winnipeg, MB) finished 1-4 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Trembath/Grassie lost 9-1 to Tahli Gill/Dean Hewitt (Brisbane, AUS), droppimg another game, 6-5 to Brett Barber/Mitch Heidt (Kerrobert, SK). Trembath/Grassie lost 7-1 to Yu Han/Zhi Yu Wang (BEIJING, CHN) where Trembath/Grassie responded with a 6-5 win over Jaime Smith-Windsor/Robin Shillington (Regina, SK). Trembath/Grassie went on to lose 8-5 against Jenny Perret/Martin Rios (Glarus, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

Trembath/Grassie earned 1.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 16 of the event schedule, Trembath/Grassie did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Trembath/Grassie ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
