Yu Han/Jianjun Ye (Beijing, CHN) finished 2-2 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Han/Ye lost 7-6 to Lauren Wasylkiw/Shane Konings (Unionville, ON), droppimg another game, 8-4 to Tahli Gill/Dean Hewitt (Brisbane, AUS) where Han/Ye responded with a 7-4 win over Meaghan Mallett/Brendan Jackson (Ottawa, ON). Han/Ye won 5-4 against Ye ji Seol/San Kim (Gyeonggi, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Han/Ye earned 3.750 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 36 of the event schedule, Han/Ye did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Han/Ye ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
