Kaitlyn Lawes (Winnipeg, MB) finished 2-3 in the 17-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Lawes defeated
Jolene Campbell (Regina, SK) 9-2, then went on to lose 6-4 against Kayla Skrlik (Calgary, AB). Lawes lost 4-2 to Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitmami, JPN) where Lawes responded with a 8-3 win over Kerri Einarson (Gimli, MB). Lawes went on to lose 11-5 against Delaney Strouse (Traverse City, MI) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Lawes earned 4.500 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 20 of the event schedule, Lawes did not improve upon their best events, dropping from 13th to 14th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 207.016 total points. Lawes ranks 16th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 129.250 points earned so far this season.
