Anneka Burghout/Marty Thompson (Toronto, ON) finished 2-3 in the 25-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Burghout/Thompson lost 8-5 to Val Sweeting/Marc Kennedy (Edmonton, AB), droppimg another game, 6-5 to Christie Gamble/Dustin Kalthoff (Saskatoon, SK) where Burghout/Thompson responded with a 8-7 win over Mackenzie Kiemele/Graham Singer (Toronto, ON). Burghout/Thompson won 9-4 against Casandra Spruit/Geoff Spruit (Winchester, ON) to advance to a C-Qualifier game where they lost 10-3 against Lauren Wasylkiw/Shane Konings (Unionville, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Burghout/Thompson earned 3.750 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 17 of the event schedule, Burghout/Thompson did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Burghout/Thompson ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
