Mackenzie Arbuckle/Aaron Macdonell (Winnipeg, MB) finished 3-3 in the 25-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Arbuckle/Macdonell defeated Christie Gamble/Dustin Kalthoff (Saskatoon, SK) 11-3, then went on to lose 6-3 against Brittany Tran/Rylan Kleiter (Calgary, AB). Arbuckle/Macdonell lost 11-8 to Val Sweeting/Marc Kennedy (Edmonton, AB) where Arbuckle/Macdonell responded with a 6-4 win over Michelle Roach/Adam Gilbert (Burlington, ON). Arbuckle/Macdonell won 6-5 against Tran/Kleiter to advance to a C-Qualifier game where they lost 9-4 against Laura Neil/Scott McDonald (St. Thomas, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Arbuckle/Macdonell earned 5.625 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 17 of the event schedule, Arbuckle/Macdonell did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Arbuckle/Macdonell ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
