Lauren Wasylkiw/Shane Konings (Unionville, ON) lost 8-1 to Rachel Homan/Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Canadian Mixed Doubles Olympic Trials Qualifier, held November 21 - 24, 2024 at the Guelph Curling Club in Guelph, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Wasylkiw/Konings won 6-2 over Laura Walker/Kirk Muyres (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals   of the 2024 Canadian Mixed Doubles Olympic Trials Qualifier in Guelph, Ontario, Canada; and won 7-6 over Jessica Zheng/Victor Pietrangelo (Niagara Falls, ON) in the quarterfinals.  of the 2024 Canadian Mixed Doubles Olympic Trials Qualifier in Guelph, Ontario, Canada; 
 
Wasylkiw/Konings finished 4-2 in the 25-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Wasylkiw/Konings lost 8-7 to Emily Riley/Jesse Mullen (Montreal, QC), then responded with a 7-5 win over Mackenzie Kiemele/Graham Singer (Toronto, ON). Wasylkiw/Konings won 9-6 against Riley Sandham/Brendan Craig (Guelph, ON), then won 9-4 against Mikaylah Lyburn/William Lyburn (Winnipeg, MB) to advance to a B-Qualifier game where they lost 7-6 against Val Sweeting/Marc Kennedy (Edmonton, AB) to drop into a C-Qualifier game where they responded with a 10-3 win over Anneka Burghout/Marty Thompson (Toronto, ON) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Canadian Mixed Doubles Olympic Trials Qualifier, Wasylkiw/Konings take home 27.500 world rankings points.
