Cotter/Cotter2-3 at 2024 Canadian Mixed Doubles Olympic Trials Qualifier

Jaelyn Cotter/Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC) finished 2-3 in the 25-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cotter/Cotter defeated Mackenzie Kiemele/Graham Singer (Toronto, ON) 8-6, then went on to lose 9-5 against Emily Riley/Jesse Mullen (Montreal, QC). Cotter/Cotter lost 5-3 to Laura Walker/Kirk Muyres (Edmonton, AB) where Cotter/Cotter responded with a 6-4 win over Megan Smith/Doug Thomson (Newmarket, ON). Cotter/Cotter went on to lose 10-2 against Laura Neil/Scott McDonald (St. Thomas, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Cotter/Cotter earned 3.750 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 17 of the event schedule, Cotter/Cotter did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Cotter/Cotter ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
