Brittany Tran/Rylan Kleiter (Calgary, AB) finished 2-3 in the 25-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tran/Kleiter defeated Mackenzie Arbuckle/Aaron Macdonell (Winnipeg, MB) 6-3, then went on to lose 6-5 against Jessica Zheng/Victor Pietrangelo (Niagara Falls, ON). Tran/Kleiter responded with a 8-2 win over Megan Smith/Doug Thomson (Newmarket, ON). Tran/Kleiter went on to lose 8-7 against Laura Walker/Kirk Muyres (Edmonton, AB). Tran/Kleiter lost 6-5 to Arbuckle/Macdonell in their final qualifying round match.

Tran/Kleiter earned 3.750 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 17 of the event schedule, Tran/Kleiter did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Tran/Kleiter ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
