In their opening game, Sluchinski/Sluchinski defeated Sherry Just/Kyle Cherpin (Prince Albert, SK) 8-3, then went on to lose 8-2 against Jaelyn Cotter/Jim Cotter (Vernon, BC). Sluchinski/Sluchinski lost 3-0 to Ashley Kalk/Craig MacAlpine (Edmonton, AB) where Sluchinski/Sluchinski responded with a 8-5 win over British Columbia's Ashley Mallett/Nicholas Meister. Sluchinski/Sluchinski went on to lose 8-3 against Lisa Weagle/John Epping (Toronto, ON). Sluchinski/Sluchinski responded with a 8-4 win over Just/Cherpin to advance to a C-Qualifier game where they lost 7-5 against Riley Sandham/Brendan Craig (Guelph, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Sluchinski/Sluchinski earned 5.625 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins.
