Kalk/MacAlpine3-2 at 2024 Canadian Mixed Doubles Olympic Trials Qualifier

Ashley Kalk/Craig MacAlpine (Edmonton, AB) finished 3-2 in the 25-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kalk/MacAlpine defeated Kaylee Raniseth/Evan Crough (Calgary, AB) 6-4, then went on to lose 7-6 against Jennifer Jones/Brent Laing (Barrie, ON). Kalk/MacAlpine responded with a 3-0 win over Amanda Sluchinski/Aaron Sluchinski (Airdrie, AB). Kalk/MacAlpine won 8-2 against Cheryl Damen/Tyler Van Amsterdam (Edmonton, AB). Kalk/MacAlpine went on to lose 7-3 against Christie Gamble/Dustin Kalthoff (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.

Kalk/MacAlpine earned 3.750 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 14 of the event schedule, Kalk/MacAlpine did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Kalk/MacAlpine ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
