Laura Walker/Kirk Muyres (Edmonton, AB) qualified for the 2024 Canadian Mixed Doubles Olympic Trials Qualifier playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 11-6 against Riley Sandham/Brendan Craig (Guelph, ON). of the 2024 Canadian Mixed Doubles Olympic Trials Qualifier in Abbotsford, British Columbia;

Walker/Muyres finished 4-1 in the 25-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Walker/Muyres defeated Courtney Woo/Daniel Wenzek (New Westminster, BC) 11-5, then won 7-6 against Sandham/Craig to advance to a A-Qualifier game where they lost 9-6 against Jennifer Armstrong/Tyrel Griffith (Kelowna, BC). Walker/Muyres responded with a 10-3 win over Anne Sophie Gionest/Robert Desjardins (Saguenay, QC) to advance to the B-Qualifier where they 8-5 against Woo/Wenzek to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.

Walker/Muyres earned 15.000 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Canadian Mixed Doubles Olympic Trials Qualifier. For week 14 of the event schedule, Walker/Muyres did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points.
