Brett Barber/Mitch Heidt (Kerrobert, SK) finished 2-3 in the 25-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Barber/Heidt lost 7-5 to Courtney Woo/Daniel Wenzek (New Westminster, BC), then responded with a 7-4 win over Shawna Jensen/Daniel Deng (Victoria, BC). Barber/Heidt went on to lose 10-8 against Anne Sophie Gionest/Robert Desjardins (Saguenay, QC). Barber/Heidt responded with a 7-3 win over Lauren Wasylkiw/Shane Konings (Unionville, ON). Barber/Heidt went on to lose 7-6 against Brittany Tran/Rylan Kleiter (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Barber/Heidt earned 3.750 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 14 of the event schedule, Barber/Heidt did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Barber/Heidt ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
