Taylor Reese-Hansen/Corey Chester (Victoria, BC) finished 3-3 in the 25-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Reese-Hansen/Chester defeated Christie Gamble/Dustin Kalthoff (Saskatoon, SK) 7-6, then went on to lose 8-3 against Jennifer Armstrong/Tyrel Griffith (Kelowna, BC). Reese-Hansen/Chester responded with a 6-5 win over Nancy Martin/Steve Laycock (Saskatoon , SK). Reese-Hansen/Chester won 10-6 against Riley Sandham/Brendan Craig (Guelph, ON) to advance to a B-Qualifier game where they lost 8-6 against Lisa Weagle/John Epping (Toronto, ON) to drop into a C-Qualifier game where they lost 5-4 to Brittany Tran/Rylan Kleiter (Calgary, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

Reese-Hansen/Chester earned 5.625 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins.
