Thiesse/Dropkin finished 4-0 in the 30-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Thiesse/Dropkin defeated Rilee Kraft/Cayden Kraft (Bismarck, ND) 8-2, then won 11-2 against Harley Scebbi/Vincent Scebbi (Cleveland, OH) and 7-4 against Emily Schweitzer/Blake Hagberg (Minneapolis, MN).
