Mathias Genner (Kitzbuehel, AUT) finished 1-3 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Genner lost 6-4 to Wesley Wendling (Chaska, MN), droppimg another game, 7-3 to Anton Hood (Naseby, NZL) where Genner responded with a 8-4 win over James Ballance (Okotoks/Edmonton, AB). Genner went on to lose 9-1 against Sixten Totzek (Fuessen, GER) in their final qualifying round match.

Genner earned 1.125 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 7 of the event schedule, Genner did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Genner ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
