Glenn Venance (Penticton, BC) finished 2-3 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Venance lost 9-5 to Dustin Kalthoff (Saskatoon, SK), droppimg another game, 6-4 to Andrew Hodgson (Reddeer , AB) where Venance responded with a 7-5 win over Rob Nobert (Vernon, BC). Venance won 7-2 against Aaron Sluchinski (Calgary, AB). Venance went on to lose 6-5 against Sixten Totzek (Fuessen, GER) in their final qualifying round match.

Venance earned 2.250 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 7 of the event schedule, Venance did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Venance ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
