Jacob Libbus (Black Diamond, AB) won 5-3 over Daylan Vavrek (Sexsmith, AB) in the Final of the Hack2House Alberta Curling Series Team Event 1, held October 18 - 20, 2024 at the Beaumont Curling Club in Beaumont, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Libbus won 8-4 over Marc Pfister (Manilla, PHI) in the semifinals
 
Libbus finished 3-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Libbus defeated Steve Johns (Melbourne, AUS) 7-5, then won 6-1 against Andrew Hodgson (Reddeer , AB) and 8-6 against Andrew Dunbar (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Hack2House Alberta Curling Series Team Event 1 Championship title, Libbus earned 7.500 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 12 of the event schedule, Libbus did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Libbus ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
