Fujisawa finished 4-2 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fujisawa lost 9-1 to Peterson, then responded with a 7-3 win over Ashley Thevenot (Saskatoon, SK). Fujisawa won 5-4 against Selena Sturmay (Edmonton, AB). Fujisawa went on to lose 5-4 against Chelsea Carey (Winnipeg, MB).
