To advance to the championship game, Laplante/Gibeau won 7-5 over Anne Sophie Gionest/Robert Desjardins (Saguenay, QC) in the semifinals of the 2024 GOLDLINE Mixed Doubles Mont-Bruno in , Quebec; and won 9-8 over Edith Cottenoir/Yannick Martel (Saguenay, QC) in the quarterfinals. of the 2024 GOLDLINE Mixed Doubles Mont-Bruno in , Quebec;

Laplante/Gibeau finished 2-1 in the 16-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Laplante/Gibeau defeated Claudie Beaulieu/Yannick Pelletier (RiviÃ¨re-du-Loup, QC) 1-0, then went on to lose 6-5 against Veronique Bouchard/Jean-Francois Charest (Saguenay, QC). Laplante/Gibeau responded with a 8-2 win over Katie Fortin/Sylvain Descoteaux (Montreal, QC) in their final qualifying round match.
