In their opening game, Workin lost 9-7 to Allie Giroux (Chaska, MN), droppimg another game, 5-3 to Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) where Workin responded with a 7-5 win over Krista McCarville (Thunder Bay, NO). Workin won 7-4 against Sarah-Jane Sass (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.

Workin earned 3.000 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 8 of the event schedule, Workin did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Workin ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
