Dunnam finished 4-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Dunnam defeated Jed Brundidge (West St Paul, MN) 1-0, then won 9-3 against Austin Kadlec (Rice Lake, WI) and 5-4 against Riley Smith (Winnipeg, MB). Dunnam won 5-4 against Kohsuke Hirata (Kitami, JPN). Dunnam went on to lose 5-4 against Devon Wiebe (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
