Miyu Ueno (Karuizawa, JPN) finished 2-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ueno defeated Miori Nakamura (Aomori, JPN) 7-4, then went on to lose 5-4 against Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN). Ueno responded with a 4-1 win over Yui Ozeki (Tokyo, JPN). Ueno went on to lose 8-4 against Seungyoun Ha (Chuncheon, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Ueno earned 3.375 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 5 of the event schedule, Ueno did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Ueno ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
