Neil/McDonald Reaches 2024 St. Thomas Mixed Doubles Classic Quarters

Laura Neil/Scott McDonald (St. Thomas, ON) qualified for the 2024 St. Thomas Mixed Doubles Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-4 against Jennifer Jones/Brent Laing (Barrie, ON). of the 2024 St. Thomas Mixed Doubles Classic in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada;

Neil/McDonald finished 4-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Neil/McDonald defeated Leah Johnston/Andrew Johnston (Moncton, NB) 5-3, then went on to lose 6-5 against Carrie Robertson/Alex Robertson (Palmerston, ON). Neil/McDonald responded with a 7-3 win over Katie Ford/Oliver Campbell (Waterloo, ON). Neil/McDonald won 8-3 against Gina Kim/Tim Luu (Toronto, ON), then won 6-5 against Terri Weeks/Sam Steep (Waterloo, ON). Neil/McDonald went on to lose 0-0 against Jones/Laing in their final qualifying round match.

Neil/McDonald earned 7.500 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the St. Thomas Mixed Doubles Classic. For week 21 of the event schedule, Neil/McDonald did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Neil/McDonald ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
