Megan Ford/Daniel Krowchuk (Niagara Falls, ON) won 8-3 over Jennifer Jones/Brent Laing (Barrie, ON) in the Final of the St. Thomas Mixed Doubles Classic, held December 20 - 22, 2024 at the St. Thomas Curling Club in St. Thomas, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Ford/Krowchuk won 6-4 over McKenna McGovern/Tanner Nathan (Sarnia, ON) in the semifinals of the 2024 St. Thomas Mixed Doubles Classic in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada; and won 10-5 over Hailey Armstrong/Billy Woods (Ottawa, ON) in the quarterfinals. of the 2024 St. Thomas Mixed Doubles Classic in St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada;
Ford/Krowchuk finished 4-2 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ford/Krowchuk lost 6-4 to Megan Smith/Doug Thomson (Newmarket, ON), then responded with a 6-1 win over Candice Johnston/Sean Harrison (Newmarket, ON). Ford/Krowchuk won 6-3 against Amy Henwood/Bryan Maude (Paris, ON), then won 6-5 against McGovern/Nathan and 7-6 against Meaghan Mallett/Brendan Jackson (Ottawa, ON). Ford/Krowchuk went on to lose 0-0 against Armstrong/Woods in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the St. Thomas Mixed Doubles Classic Championship title, Ford/Krowchuk earned 18.750 world rankings points along with the $1,800CDN first prize cheque. For week 21 of the event schedule, Ford/Krowchuk did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Ford/Krowchuk ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
