Samantha Digiglio/Brendan Rajala (Sudbury, NO) finished 2-3 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Digiglio/Rajala defeated Kimberley Headley/John Headley (Newmarket, ON) 10-2, then went on to lose 10-1 against Chiaki Matsumura/Yasumasa Tanida (Nagano/Hokkaido, JPN). Digiglio/Rajala lost 9-5 to Carrie Robertson/Alex Robertson (Palmerston, ON) where Digiglio/Rajala responded with a 6-4 win over Michelle Butler/Jerry Butler (Cambridge, ON). Digiglio/Rajala went on to lose 10-4 against Valerie Ouimet/Luc Ouimet (Sudbury, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

Digiglio/Rajala earned 1.125 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 13 of the event schedule, Digiglio/Rajala did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Digiglio/Rajala ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
