Elizabeth Cousins (Nashua, NH) 7-4, then went on to lose 9-3 against Laura Johnston (North Bay, NO). Burns lost 8-2 to Shelley Hardy (Sarnia, ON) where Burns responded with a 8-2 win over Heather Heggestad (Stroud, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Burns earned 2.250 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 15 of the event schedule, Burns did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Burns ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
