To advance to the championship game, Tabata won 4-3 over Eri Ogihara (Kitami, JPN) in the semifinals of the 2024 Obihiro ICE Gold Cup in Obihiro, Japan; and won 5-2 over Kotoka Segawa (Sapporo, JPN) in the quarterfinals. of the 2024 Obihiro ICE Gold Cup in Obihiro, Japan;
 
Tabata finished 2-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tabata defeated Nana Noguchi (Kitami, JPN) 13-0, then won 9-1 against Yuri Suzuki (Obihiro, JPN). Tabata went on to lose 5-4 against Kawamura in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Obihiro ICE Gold Cup Championship title, Tabata earned 7.500 world rankings points along with the $2,792CDN first prize cheque. For week 1 of the event schedule, Tabata did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Tabata ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
