Perry finished 3-2 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Perry defeated Ken Peddigrew (St. John's, NL) 7-5, then went on to lose 6-1 against Smith. Perry responded with a 7-1 win over Evan Kearley (St. John's, NL). Perry went on to lose 10-5 against Nathan Young (St. John's, NL). Perry responded with a 7-2 win over Rod Feltham (St. John's, NL) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Rick Rowsell Classic Championship title, Perry earned 3.750 world rankings points along with the $4,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 20 of the event schedule, Perry did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Perry ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
