Kim finished 4-3 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim defeated Jihoo Yoon (Bongmyeong, KOR) 19-0, then went on to lose 6-3 against Jongduk Park (Gangwon, KOR). Kim responded with a 12-2 win over Jinhan Yoo (Uiseong, KOR). Kim won 8-4 against Lee, then won 10-4 against GunWoo Park (Incheon, KOR). Kim went on to lose 9-0 against ByeongJin Jeong (Seoul, KOR). Kim lost 0-0 to Park in their final qualifying round match.
 
Kim earned 8.500 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Korean National Curling Championship.
