Knapp finished 3-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Knapp defeated Cordell Struble (Martensville, SK) 6-3, then won 10-3 against Bradley Moser (Saskatoon, SK) and 5-4 against Riley Smith (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
