Riku Yanagisawa (Karuizawa, JPN) lost 4-3 to John Epping (Toronto, ON) in the Final of the KW Fall Classic, held September 19 - 22, 2024 at the K-W Granite Club in Waterloo, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Yanagisawa won 7-1 over Jayden King (London, ON) in the semifinals of the 2024 KW Fall Classic in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada; and won 7-6 over Kohsuke Hirata (Kitami, JPN) in the quarterfinals.
 
Yanagisawa finished 3-0 in the 19-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Yanagisawa defeated Evan MacDougall (Guelph, ON) 6-2, then won 7-2 against Jordan Chandler (Collingwood, ON) and 6-2 against King in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the KW Fall Classic, Yanagisawa take home 16.500 world rankings points along with the $2,750CDN prize. For week 8 of the event schedule, Yanagisawa did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Yanagisawa ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
