Kelly finished 5-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kelly lost 6-4 to David Murdoch (Lockerbie, SCO), then responded with a 9-4 win over Martin Sutherland (Kinross, SCO). Kelly won 6-2 against Paul Stevenson (Aberdeen, SCO), then won 6-0 against De Boer. Kelly went on to lose 8-4 against Murdoch. Kelly responded with a 5-3 win over Tom Brewster (Greenacres, SCO) to advance to the C-Qualifier where they 7-2 against Denmark's Ulrik Schmidt to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Ramada Jarvis Masters Championship title, Kelly earned 0.000 world rankings points along with the $8,061CDN first prize cheque.
