Ostrowsky finished 2-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ostrowsky defeated Corey Anderson (Winnipeg, MB) 7-2, then won 7-6 against Steve Irwin (Brandon, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
