Kayla MacMillan (Victoria, BC) lost 10-7 to Corryn Brown (Kamloops, BC) in the Final of the BC Women's Curling Championships, Presented by Best Western, held January 20 - 25, 2025 at the George Preston Recreation Centre in Langley Twp, Canada. To advance to the championship game, MacMillan won 7-5 over Kristen Ryan (Maple Ridge, BC) in the semifinals of the 2025 BC Women's Curling Championships, Presented by Best Western in Langley Twp, British Columbia, Canada;
 
MacMillan finished 6-1 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, MacMillan defeated Steph Jackson-Baier (Victoria, BC) 9-3, then went on to lose 11-4 against Taylor Reese-Hansen (Victoria, BC). MacMillan responded with a 12-1 win over Sarah Wark (Abbotsford, BC). MacMillan won 8-3 against Ryan, then won 7-4 against Dailene Pewarchuk (Victoria, BC) and 7-6 against Holly Hafeli (Kamloops, BC). MacMillan won 8-7 against Brown in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the BC Women's Curling Championships, Presented by Best Western, MacMillan take home 11.000 world rankings points. MacMillan gained 5.75 points improving upon their best 7 events, though dropped 2 spots on the World Ranking Standings into 26thplace overall with 141.204 total points. MacMillan ranks 24th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 113.313 points earned so far this season.
