Connor Deane (New Westminster, BC) finished 5-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Deane defeated Jeff Guignard (Vancouver, BC) 10-3, then went on to lose 6-1 against Cameron de Jong (Victoria, BC). Deane responded with a 12-2 win over British Columbia's Frank O'Driscoll. Deane won 8-7 against Brent Pierce (New Westminister, BC), then won 7-3 against de Jong to advance to a B-Qualifier game where they lost 7-3 against Glenn Venance (Penticton, BC) to drop into a C-Qualifier game where they responded with a 7-5 win over Brad Thompson (Kamloops, BC) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.

Deane earned 6.000 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the BC Men's Curling Championships, Presented by Best Western, moving up 10 spots the World Ranking Standings into 84th place overall with 33.594 total points. Deane ranks 85th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 25.313 points earned so far this season.
