Deane won 8-7 against Brent Pierce (New Westminister, BC), then won 7-3 against de Jong to advance to a B-Qualifier game where they lost 7-3 against Glenn Venance (Penticton, BC) to drop into a C-Qualifier game where they responded with a 7-5 win over Brad Thompson (Kamloops, BC) to advance to the playoff round. in their final qualifying round match.
 
Deane earned 6.000 world rankings points for their Top 4 finish in the BC Men's Curling Championships, Presented by Best Western, moving up 10 spots the World Ranking Standings into 84th place overall with 33.594 total points.
