Penny Barker (Moose Jaw, SK) won 6-1 over Michelle Englot (Regina, SK) in the Final of the Sutherland SaskTour Spiel, held September 27 - 29, 2024 at the Sutherland Curling Club in Saskatoon, . To advance to the championship game, Barker won 9-4 over Sherrilee Orsted (Moose Jaw, SK) in the semifinals of the 2024 Sutherland SaskTour Spiel in Saskatoon; and won 8-7 over Amber Holland (Saskatoon, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2024 Sutherland SaskTour Spiel in Saskatoon;
 
Barker finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Barker defeated Holland 8-3, then went on to lose 9-5 against Ava Beausoleil (Saskatoon, SK). Barker responded with a 10-1 win over Gracelyn Richards (Edmonton, AB). Barker won 9-4 against Nancy Hansen (Lacombe, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Sutherland SaskTour Spiel Championship title, Barker earned 15.000 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN first prize cheque. For week 9 of the event schedule, Barker did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Barker ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
