Xiao Ming Xu (BEI JING, CHN) finished 4-0 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Xu defeated Matias Hanninen (Hyvinkaa, FIN) 4-2, then won 7-3 against Sebastiaan Dalle (Zemst, BEL) and 9-2 against Eddy Mercier (Megeve, FRA). Xu won 7-2 against Jari Butzmann (Geising, GER) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the WCT Belgium Men's Challenge Championship title, Xu earned 7.500 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque. Xu move up 2 spots after posting a net gain of 4.875 points improving upon their best 7 results so far this season, ranking 26th overall with 129.966 total points on the World Ranking Standings. Xu ranks 19th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 126.875 points earned so far this season.
