Jari Butzmann (Geising, GER) finished 1-3 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Butzmann lost 9-2 to Eddy Mercier (Megeve, FRA), droppimg another game, 6-5 to Sebastiaan Dalle (Zemst, BEL). Butzmann lost 7-2 to Xiao Ming Xu (BEI JING, CHN) where Butzmann responded with a 9-4 win over Matias Hanninen (Hyvinkaa, FIN) in their final qualifying round match.

Butzmann earned 0.375 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 26 of the event schedule, Butzmann did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Butzmann ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
