In their opening game, Mariani lost 7-5 to Liisa Turmann (Tallinn, EST), droppimg another game, 6-4 to Torhild Bjoernstad (Oppdal, NOR) where Mariani responded with a 6-5 win over Dilsat Yildiz (Erzurum, TUR). Mariani won 6-3 against Nilla Hallstroem (Harnosand, SWE) in their final qualifying round match.

Mariani earned 1.875 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 14 of the event schedule, Mariani did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Mariani ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
