Rykove/Rykov Reaches 2024 WCT Latvian Mixed Doubles Curling Cup 1 Quarters

Akvile Rykove/Konstantin Rykov (Vilnius, LTU) qualified for the 2024 WCT Latvian Mixed Doubles Curling Cup 1 playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-7 against Evelina Barone/Kristaps Zass (Riga, LAT).

Rykove/Rykov finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Rykove/Rykov defeated Iluta Linde/Janis Redlihs (Riga, LAT) 11-0, then went on to lose 7-5 against Katrina Gaidule/Roberts Buncis (Riga, LAT). Rykove/Rykov lost 9-3 to Sabine Jeske/Arnis Veidemanis (Riga, LAT) where Rykove/Rykov responded with a 11-9 win over Sylvi Hausstatter/Sondre Svorkmo-Lundberg (Lillehammer, NOR) in their final qualifying round match.

Rykove/Rykov earned 1.125 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the WCT Latvian Mixed Doubles Curling Cup 1. For week 14 of the event schedule, Rykove/Rykov did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Rykove/Rykov ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
