Axel Landelius (Mjolby, SWE) finished 6-0 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Landelius defeated Jacob Schmidt (Hvidovre, DEN) 5-4, then won 7-4 against Johan Nygren (Umea, SWE) and 6-2 against Vilmer Nygren (Harnosand, SWE). Landelius won 5-3 against Sweden's Jordan Wahlin, then won 7-5 against Joel Westerberg (Sundbyberg, SWE) and 4-3 against Schmidt in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Sundbyberg Open Championship title, Landelius earned 3.750 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 13 of the event schedule, Landelius did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Landelius ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
