Felix Luethold (Wildhaus, SUI) finished 2-3 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Luethold lost 7-4 to Manuel Jermann (Basel, SUI), droppimg another game, 9-4 to Jan Klossner (Lausanne, SUI). Luethold lost 5-3 to Andrin Schnider (Limmattal, SUI) where Luethold responded with a 7-6 win over Sixten Totzek (Fuessen, GER). Luethold won 8-4 against Eddy Mercier (Megeve, FRA) in their final qualifying round match.
