MacDonald finished 2-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, MacDonald lost 11-2 to Ben Kiist (Edmonton, AB), then responded with a 8-2 win over Rhett Mailloux (Kingman, AB). MacDonald won 7-2 against Nathan Schoenhardt (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.

MacDonald ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
