McCarville won 8-4 against Rob Skinner (Thunder Bay, ON), then won 6-3 against Robyn Despins (Thunder Bay, ON). McCarville went on to lose 9-5 against Adams Jr.. McCarville lost 6-2 to Al Hackner (Thunder Bay, ON). McCarville lost 4-3 to Myles Stevens (Thunder Bay, ON) where McCarville responded with a 11-4 win over Claire Dubinsky (Thunder Bay, ON). McCarville went on to lose 8-7 against Ron Rosengren (Thunder Bay, ON). McCarville responded with a 8-2 win over Denis Malette (Thunder Bay, ON). McCarville went on to lose 8-6 against Warkentin in their final qualifying round match.

McCarville earned 2.125 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the TBayTel Major League of Curling.
