Olson/Thurston finished 3-0 in the 48-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Olson/Thurston defeated Susan Horsman/Tyler Despins (Rochester, MN) 12-0, then won 7-3 against Julia DiBaggio/Nicholas Visnich (Cleveland, OH) and 1-0 against Melissa Fountain/Austin Fountain (Denver, CO) in their final qualifying round match.
