Abby Desormeau (Beaumont/Red Deer, AB) lost 7-5 to Alena Yurko (Calgary/Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Alberta Optimist U18 Girls Provincial Championship, held January 2 - 6, 2025 at the Leduc Curling Club in Leduc, Canada.

Desormeau are currently 2-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Desormeau lost 6-4 to Sierra Wyatt (Lacombe, AB), then responded with a 7-3 win over Yurko. Desormeau won 7-6 against Emma Deschiffart (Lacombe/Edmonton, AB). Desormeau went on to lose 4-3 against Lila Koe (Okotoks/Calgary, AB). In their opening game, Desormeau plays.

Desormeau ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
