Bryden went on to lose 7-3 against Giacomo Colli (Trentino, ITA). Bryden responded with a 8-2 win over Axel Landelius (Mjolby, SWE). Bryden won 5-2 against JaeBeom Lee (Uiseong, KOR). Bryden went on to lose 7-4 against Hebert. Bryden lost 10-4 to Norway's Lukas Hostmaelingen where Bryden responded with a 7-1 win over Eduard Nikolov (Kyiv, UKR). Bryden went on to lose 3-2 against Great Britain's Arran Thomson in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their fourth place finish at the FISU World University Games, Bryden take home 6.000 world rankings points. Bryden move up 8 spots after posting a net gain of 5.437 points improving upon their best 7 results so far this season, ranking 92nd overall with 31.141 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
