Tiina Suuripaa/Markus Sipila (Hyvinkaa, FIN) finished 6-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Suuripaa/Sipila defeated Ella Eivola/Jaakko Hokkanen (Turku, FIN) 9-3, then won 10-6 against Susanna Santti/Iikko Santti (Hyvinkaa, FIN) and 5-4 against Bonnie Nilhamn/Paavo Kuosmanen (Hyvinkaa, FIN). Suuripaa/Sipila won 7-1 against Eivola/Hokkanen, then won 9-3 against Santti/Santti and 8-4 against Nilhamn/Kuosmanen in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Finnish Mixed Doubles Challenge Championship title, Suuripaa/Sipila earned 3.750 world rankings points. For week 14 of the event schedule, Suuripaa/Sipila did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Suuripaa/Sipila ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
