Ema Kavcic (Ljubljana, SLO) 10-3, then went on to lose 8-5 against Katrine Schmidt (Hvidovre, DEN). Nakajima lost 8-5 to Sara Messenzehl (Fuessen, GER) where Nakajima responded with a 8-5 win over Katrina Gaidule (Riga, LAT). Nakajima won 6-5 against Paula Olivan (San Sebastian, ESP), then won 18-2 against Sheila Daniel (Accra, NGR) and 17-0 against Kyra Sheri Kemu (Nairobi, KEN) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Nakajima earned 0.938 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins.
