Ema Kavcic (Ljubljana, SLO) finished 2-5 in the 29-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kavcic lost 9-1 to Katrine Schmidt (Hvidovre, DEN), droppimg another game, 10-3 to Mikoto Nakajima (Karuizawa, JPN). Kavcic lost 12-3 to Paula Olivan (San Sebastian, ESP) where Kavcic responded with a 13-1 win over Sheila Daniel (Accra, NGR). Kavcic won 11-4 against Kyra Sheri Kemu (Nairobi, KEN). Kavcic went on to lose 11-3 against Katrina Gaidule (Riga, LAT). Kavcic lost 12-1 to Sara Messenzehl (Fuessen, GER) in their final qualifying round match.

Kavcic earned 0.375 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 41 of the event schedule, Kavcic did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Kavcic ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
